Today’s interview with Bridgette Nicholson, OT and AT consultant is the first of a three-part episode.  During the first interview we get to know Bridgette a little more by asking her to share with us where her journey began and how her experiences as an OT and AT consultant have helped her to create the tools, resources and workshops that help teach professionals and parents how to create active and engaging learning environments.  Bridgette explains body-brain integration. She explains why rhythm is so important in learning and how it all works.  She shares with us some of the existing evidence and research that supports the use integration of a structured rhythm and movement program.  She discusses how using Buddy Rhythmic Poetry and Reading can help students with their reading.  We end the first episode with Bridgette sharing ideas and suggestions for how to evaluate the program once it is implemented and some of her favorite ways to evaluate her students.
